beforeafter5cs.jpg
i gotta replace the hood and i already have a trunk, the hood got kinda hit in the accident you can see how it pops out a bit, plus i wanna replace my front right fender or atleast pound out the dent that you cant see in the picture, i wanna paint it black, once i finish fixing the suspension,

i have about 600 bucks so far. how much and how long for a descent paint job?

A decent paint job is expensive. It will be cheaper if you are keeping the car the same color as stock, which means no color change. It will also be cheaper to get someone to do it "on the side" for you, as shops charge more for labor. If you get someone to do it for you on the side, expect to pay no less than $2000 for a good paint job. The supplies, materials, and good paint for a Mark VII will cost $1000 alone. If you do the prep work yourself, you'll save a bit more. Be sure to have some reputable do your work for you, and see examples of their work before letting them paint your car. If you just drive to a shop and ask for a complete repaint expect quotes from $3000 and up for a quality job. Remember, you always get what you pay for, and car paint is a true example of this.

rattle can dude

Hit a deer? Old lady ? j/k I hit a deer with my mark and replaced the hood and front header panel too. I masked off the windshield, grill, fenders, lights and hood ornament. From there I sanded the new hood and header panel. I washed the dust off and let it dry then proceded to spray paint the area flat black. I made several coats then let it dry overnight. Then i sanded the top black coat and put one coat of spray can clear on it. Mind you I am very good at spray painting because I have been doing it for years so i have no lines, runs, drips or sags anywhere. I love the way it looks and everyone I know don't beleive me it's Wal Mart spray paint.:D My windows are tinted dark and the centers of my stock wheels are painted black too and the whole car looks like a great match "blackout" as I call it. So if you think you can accomplish something like that or have a friend who can spray paint i say go right ahead or if you never held a rattle can in your life and your interested try a junk hood or something. It's all in the little flick of the wrist as you paint and overlapping the "paths" of paint. so yeah practice until you think you are ready then tackle it. I hope you'll give spray paint a chance just because some people don't have the talent to paint doesn't mean it isn't good. Good luck whatever you try man get it lookin good again.

oops nevermind you want the entire car painted i didn't read the entire post sorry:rolleyes:
