Panther Edition...?

Looks like a piece! People dont get it! They need to clean their stuff before they put it up for sale dam. Its pretty obvious that you'd get a ton more people interested if they would just clean the dam thing.

Yep - Panther was just something some dealer cooked up - its nothing more then gold pinstriping and a wood dash kit from what I can see.

Anybody notice the slots in the rear bumper for the daul tips, similar to the tasca mark?

i rember seein a panther edition online befor but it was
:q:q:q:q sick

it was jet black paint and a soft top white and it had a jumping panther above a mark VIII symbol below the side-view mirrors and the interior was amazing but i think that the interoir was custom

....i thought it was called black panther edition...witch i thought was weird..ha

Ieeww No. The SuperMark had that setup since 1993. Thos ePanthers were CHHHHHHHHHHHHHSEmobiles. Dual tipped mufflers, "Panther" gold emblems on the fenders and some had interior work.

I've seen a few pics of the "Panther edition" in the past...even on a couple of the rare convertible models.

the "panther" was a trim package that any dealer could order as a "kit" and install themselves. They didnt have to install the entire kit.

from what I have gathered, the kit included, but was not limited to:

*some* had the "carriage roof"(faux convert)
gold pinstriping
gold emblem/visibility package(antenna trim/tail light chrome was replaced with gold/grill brow could be gold, as well as headlight chrome trim replaced with gold)
Panther emblems on front fenders
gold trunk lock cover
simulated wood paneling in interior
replacement wheels(rare) with gold Lincoln center caps/lug nut caps
dual tip rear mufflers

In simple english, it's nothing more than a trim package, to try to highlight certain showroom models to make them stand out from the other Mark VIII's. Oh, and that way the dealer could mark up their kit/time and make more in-house money.

here is a carDomain site of a black 95 panther

rear wheels are on the wrong side.

is that a Panther? I dont see the fender emblems(removed?) I do see the quad tips, the square rear bumper cut outs, and some wheel arch trim.

Nice ride/picture....but man, 20-spoke directionals are even MARKED left and right! Geeesh!
