Having a hard time tracking down the lower ball joint nut for my Lincoln LS. I measured the ball joint stud and it's a 14mm. Went to Ford dealership to order one in but they come up with w705518-s900. I think this is a rear shackle nut for an F-150

Can anyone confirm that part# w705518-s900 is the 14mm lower ball joint nut for a 2002 LS v6?

It's certainly possible. Nuts and bolts are used in multiple different places on different cars. w705518-s900 is listed as fitting a 2002 LS V6.
My quick search came up with W705518-S427, but I'm not sure of it as it is lower cost than I expected.

They are both pretty cheap. Maybe you could just order a couple of each to limit your down time...

Just for future reference this part is available from Ford but only in batches of 4
It's also available from Jaguar and is sold individually

Jaguar part# XR853342

Yeah, Ford forces dealers to buy many fasteners in stupid quantities. However, *most* dealers will sell the customer only what they need. If a dealer is insisting you buy the whole bag, find another dealer!

Some things they'll have a hard time selling or never sell. I work at a Ford dealer and asked about ordering a Lincoln key. I was told I'd need to buy the whole pack of 10 for $300 because they'll never need them and don't want to hold that inventory.

A nut though?

Funny, when ordering the keys from Ford you can option single keys, packs of five, or packs of 10. What kind of key of you need?

I was looking for Lincoln branded keys at a Ford dealer. I ended up getting them on eBay for a lot less money at the cost of waiting a week. I got a Gen 2 key, a VW-style flipkey, and 2 basic Gen 1 keys (no branding) to act as transponder donors for the first two keys
