My warranty is just about up and I need to get these crapy parts out of here. I own the 2000 LS Sport the one with ALL the problems, and I was wondering about a few things. I know I can jukyard rebuild a cobra 4.6 I have had friends do this before one also did a svo but, do you think it would fit. People are telling me I can just turn my power plant into one with bigger pistons and a expensive kit. Is that true? Is there any parts I can swap out now from any stangs or other fast fordsi n example... intake manifolds throttlebodys and all that. I know I would have to reconfigure my engine bay but has anyone tried to do something like this.

I hope this dont offend anyone Im kinda one of those illiterate car people that allways had eyes set on things but never enough cash for the hands on experience if you know what Im talking about.

the are many thread discussion this. not a likely option for a streeet ready car - since matching the engine to the car computer bus will be very very difficult.

Ford engineers raced a LS with a Roush 4.6 SC in it - not even they could make it work.

- do a search there is lots of reading

Thanks Quick.

Wow I bet that would have kicked ass but I still know a lot of street kids that can beat fords standards, I even know of a guy with a Saleen that run 8's on the street he also shifts with one leg ( the other beeing amputated) and has alot of work modled after the fox body McLaren's like the one in the Romeo and Juliete movie with that Decrapio kid, but it is out of my league. My big dream I mean of all time, wich will never happen, is to do everything to the engine that McLaren did. I realy wish those LS's made the market, I liked the McLaren foxbodys to. I actually think that machanics to the first Ls's are crap I have had mine a year and probably drove it a total of 7 months in time put together, the rest of the time it was at the dealershiped getting its repaires and I bought it at 40k miles. I just want heads to turn when they see such a sweet luxery car thats loud and fast its definatly the style I like of the car and not the enginuity so ripping every electronic component out and replaceing them would be more sensible to me but I deffinatly dont have the cash for that. Oh wich before I go leads me to another thing. Is it all bad electrical components that make the early LS's malfunction so much?
