anybody know where to find code for keyless entry on l. door used to be on trunk hinge.04 ls?

its a card in the manual , if it doesnt have it then you have to go to the dealer and get the code

I haven't tried this to see if it's true, but this is what another LS owner reported.


"I found the keyless entry code on the driver door module there is a sticker with a barcode above the bar code is a number that will look like this
xxxx-xxxxxx-xx
you can see it by simple pulling out you power window switches the middle 6 digits will have a letter in it take the letter out and the other 5 digits will be the lock code for your car."

Well, I guess that guy was full of it. That's just the factory part number for the module.

My LS has the factory code engraved in the trunk hinge :shifty:




however, I engraved the code there myself after i had it looked up by the dealer!

Some dealers will do this for free. Mine did.

Some dealers will do this for free. Mine did.

Mine, too. They scan the car with a laptop, through the OBDII port and extract the code.

They didn't have another car in the bay, so it gave them something to do to look busy. The owner's manual tells you how to program your own code number in. I just use the dealer code.
