I just had all the gasket, coils, and spark plugs replaced in my 03 ls v8. Last week I took off the coil covers, just to check and see if the coils where dry.To my amazement, they where soaked. When I took it back to the dealer they said my pcv valve needed to be replaced. Then they tell me it's internally mounted inside the valve cover and that the valve cover would need to be replaced as well......???? huh? is ford as stupid as it looks? or are they trying to pull one over on me? .......

Well I would like to see them pull a pcv from a V8. They are trying to scam you or they are dumb as a box of rocks.

It dawned on me and I thought I edited that out but I guess it got stuck. I read that the other day.

Whooops!

There is another recent thread on this website on the PCV. They have a diagram, it is under the intake, no fun and yet another mechanic unfreindly feature of our cars.

try this thread... http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=35859 Called PCV Location?

Oh, the diagream is for the V6. The thread's conclusion is the V8 does not have a PCV.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson
