I started doing some maintainence on the VIII today. I got the spark plugs swapped out, which was probably the easiest plug change I've ever done. I also replaced the air filter, which was probably the hardest air filter change I've ever done.
I did SeaFoam by letting it be drawn in through the PCV line off of the air intake, but it didn't have the affect that I've had with the VII and Camaro; it just drank it up and that was it. No bogging, no smoke, nothing. I guess that is a good sign.
Then I went to replace the PCV. I had purchased a replacement, but the PCV end is not large enough to fit snug in the line. More importantly, the "PCV" valve that is in there is by no means a PCV valve; there is no valve at all. There is a black piece that is the shape of a PCV valve, but it is a straight through piece with no valve inside it. It does not appear that anything has broken off, as this piece is black plastic and looks stock. Can anyone shead some light on this, and help me get the proper PCV valve to put in there?
