I got a great offer to trade in my Lincoln for a new 2009 car and it looks like (from the price) I might be able to keep or lower my car payments. Best of luck...this car might be fun.

Btw, I have reasons why I'd pass up the Lincoln..though I WILL miss her

totally vaginal. What will we do without you. Oh yeah in the goldmember club you cannot legally sell your car, signed contract. Sorry Pete.

a fully loaded one. and to show the differece in performance here's a few specs

Mazda
Curb Weight: 3258Lbs
272HP
269TQ

Lincoln LS (stock)
Curb Weight: 3593Lbs
252HP
261TQ

that's quite the difference.

Now I'm also looking at a Mustang GT 2008 for only 16k with 17k miles, Pontiac G6, Dodge Charger (Or Challenger is lucky), Audi A4 2.0T, or a SUV

Reason being is that my businness I'm starting is taking off and I need a RELIABLE, ECONOMICAL (or what I can put up with), and UNDER WARRENTY car that is suitable for my business. And NO, Calabrio...it's not manwhoring!

Just I need to grow up and put priorities in place. I'm young and need to focus on the career I have set for myself and when I have a ton of funds I'll go back to playing Legos with cars. I have done the research, estimated how much I can afford with being unemployed right now and starting up my new business and what is reasonable. So sue me, critisize the choice I make for my next car, but you know what I'll be happy...and that's what matters.

First off, Mazda is a great vehicle.
I recently traded my 2006 3 hatchback for the 66 tbird.
While I had that Mazda, I had a whole lot of fun driving it.
It looked real nice.
The reason I traded it was because I wanted another classic after selling the 59 Continental ,plus, the Tbird will appreciate in the future, whereas the Mazda will depreciate.
Now what's this stuff about Petesweet "biting the dust"?
Just becaus he may not own a Lincoln any more, is no reason to give up a forum, especially if he can offer constructive advice to fello members.
My Lincoln has been gone for over two years now, but I still belong to this forum and one other Lincoln forum.
Same goes for the Mazda forum.
I still go to that forum and offer what I hope is good advice to Mazda owners.
I have made many friends on all the forums I belong too through the written word.
Just because I no longer own the vehicle which the forum is dedicated too, doesn't mean I cant contribute to the effectiveness of the forum.
Bob.

I don't recall him ever doing that before, and we haven't kicked him out yet...;)

not true...i have helped others in relation to fitness, health, and dietary supplements. just dont count on me for cars

I don't know what killed the deal.
That is between you and the dealer but, you mentioned in your post originally you are starting up as business and need some economical transportation.
If the cost of the 09 was excessive, why not go back too an 06.07. or o8
If Mazda is your ticket to better economy, you can easily find one of these years on Ebay, and finding one with low mileage is not impossible.
When I traded my 06 for the bird, it has just 31000 miles on it, and was like brand new.
Just a suggestion, but again, if economy is important too you,you would do well to consider the prospect of a low mileage 3 or four year old vehicle.
If the hatchback is to your liking, they come with all kinds of goodies.
This is my 06 I just traded.
Bob.

the car wasn't expensive and I have a 720 credit score. Problem is (which I didn't realize) is that since my father originally cosigned my car loan on the Lincoln and since my parents are filing for bankrupcy thanks to my father being an idiot...the car loan of mine is in the bankrupcy...just determines (which they'll find out soon) If either the government gets my Lincoln, the banks do, or I get to keep it but my dad is off the loan...

we shall see. If I didn't have the Lincoln/its loan I can buy the Mazda I wanted for 250 per month with 500 down to start and at 7.3% APR

....you can probably pick up a G8 or GTO for a low price too.
The Mazda is a solid car though.

reason being Calabrio is that I'm trying to to at a functional car for the fact I'm going to drive from Seattle to the Cascades and back quite frequently. The snow and ice around there are not G8 and GTO friendly. THough one of them would be fun :-D

Check out the 6.2L V8 model.

what makes them unfriendly for weather though? Are you just looking for FWD?

RWD has never been good around our snow/ice around here. FWD or AWD or 3x4 is what I was seeing into. Seeing functionality with gas mileage as well, then there's the factory warrenty. All in due research though...

Well that idea came and went in a few hours

Number 1 reason why you don't divulge information until the deal is done.

I've mentioned it before and I'll mention it again: "don't tell me what you're going to do, tell me what you've done".

that's why the title says MIGHT, nyv. It's the fact I COULD have gotten into a new ca, it's the fact that my parent's bankrupcy has tied my car down to where I can't do anything but clean/drive it.

Apparently I can't mod it from here on in either......least that's what the retard lawyer said

Pete if you don't mind me asking.... exactly how much are you paying on your LS? I bought mine several years ago and my interest and payments were nowhere near as high as the cars you're saying would be cheaper. If you want cheap and reliable and a warranty, there's great deals to be had on Toyotas at the moment.

yes..toyotas...uhg

I owe about 8k left on the Lincoln cause when I bought it I was forced to pay 6k on an aftermarket warrenty (or else my family wouldn't cosign)....so If I didn't have that I'd have 2k left on the Lincoln to pay off.....
