when other countries see it for what it is:

that's cause scientology money pays lobbyists to keep them as an untouchable "chuch" power. But cmon....a religion written by as science fiction novelist...might as well make star trek or star wars a religion then....the force means you're the new messiah :p
 
i think removing special status for any and all of them is a step in the right direction. charitable organizations? yeah right. they should only gain a tax advantage for actual things instead of a blanket tax holiday. and the obvious cults should be abolished.
problem with america is the freedom of religion ideal.
any crack pot can make one up.

With all the amazing ancient pyramid like structures and their celestial alignments all over the world one could argue there is more evidence of this to believe in than anything from the mainline established religions.

this gives me an idea...I'm gonna write a book and make a religion of ME!!! I will get people to give me free sh*t, get tax cuts, have holidays to get off work, and gives me a reason to dunk my ex girlfriend in water and never let her out. HAHAHAHA

No one wants to discuss theology with you, Pete, regardless how many episodes of the Daily Show you've watched, or how many Carlin videos you've found on Youtube.

But it would be helpful if you could use some Carrot Top videos to explain natural rights to your new buddy.
 
I remember reading some article about Scientology and how they browbeat and blackmail their prominent celebrity members into keeping their mouths shut. There was something going on with Travolta where they had some sex scandal dirt on him, and he was trying to quit the church, and they threatened to expose him, so he stayed.

Very classy.

Again, do you have any clue what I am saying? It sure doesn't look like it.

And I only ever treat you with the same level of respect you extend to me. The ball is, and always has been, in your court. You have known that for quite a while now and still try to condescend to me and belittle me when you clearly don't know what you are talking about (or more specifically, what you are responding to). That kinda compromises any attempt at condescension on your part.

Why can't you simply admit that you don't know what I am talking about and try to understand it? Show me respect and I will show you respect. But you don't seem to be able to discuss things without using belligerence, condescension, invalided and misleading arguments and smears as a means of debate (which is what got the animosity going between us in the first place).

bitter tears? no...she's annoying.....:q:q:q:qing will try calling me at 5am when I'm still sleeping..plus my mistake of thinking I could take on the problem of a bipolar woman....nope.......plus I never gotta tap that @ss so what's there to miss? Just she's the most recent annoyance I had to put up with :p

Well if this is your opinion then it follows all religions are frauds filled with the Truthiness of Noble Lies.
Why pick on Scientology?
