Photo file size?

Does anybody know what the max photo file size is for this site? I would love to put some photos up but everytime I try it says my photos are too big. Little help here.

the file size is 600 by 800, i believe!!!!

do you know how many megabytes that is? I can't seem to get any of my pix to load it keeps saying they are too large.
