What version of photoshop are you guys using, and what one should I get if I just wanna play around with photos, nothing too serious?

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. I would recommend getting Adobe Illustrator though. It's a lot more robust and you can do more with it. Our graphic artist folks at work can do some amazing things in Illustrator.

Still using photoshop 7. CS can do more but you should be able to pick up PS 7 for a lot less and it will be some time before you would advance beyond it for every day stuff.

I just got the trial of cs2. It's crazy what you can do. How do you lower a car in your pics? I've lassoed the whole thing, but when I lower it, the top part of the car pokes up from its original position.

PS 7.0 But i can't do much with it, save for resizing and filtering.
