If any of you have done this or tried this with one of these emblems, you'll know that it's smaller than the factory grill emblem, leaving gaps at the top and bottom. I took an old piece of trim I had laying around from another car, and after several hours with the dremel, I came up with this solution to fill the gaps. My grill was already broken, so I didn't mind experimenting on it. When I find an undamaged grill for my car, I don't think I'd do it much differently - as I think it came out pretty good. If anybody came up with a different solution for using this emblem on a grill post up some pics!

just be careful.. my body guy is figuring some way to mount it permanently without using the tape.. he said hes seen too many people ripping off custom emblems ..im going to order a few extra just in case

I left the tape on the top and bottom, but used epoxy in the center. It's stuck pretty good, but I'm still concerned about it getting ripped off. I was in the sign business years ago, and the production shop would use a thing called a "stud welder" on custom metal letters and graphics. It welded a threaded stud onto the backside. It occured to me that if I could find a local sign company with a stud welder to pop a stud on the back of the emblem, it would be simple to secure it. However, if somebody REALLY wanted it, they could just break the grill - it's just plastic.

LOL! Yeah, it's impossible to protect yourself from all thieving scum. I figure - it they steal it, it's money out the window and I just get another. It's just too darn cool to not use it!
