here's few pictures.
first my beloved LSE.
as I have mentioned before, dropped 1-in all around with eibach, CAI, eyebrow, red emblem. soon to come, exhause, angel eye... saving up money to pay off the car.

here's few pictures of what I did for CAI.
took the stock airbox, used the top portion for air scoop routing it to the front. as you can see, I think this will bring more air to the KKM filter instead of having just 3-in tube there.
let me know what you all think.

and angel eye on the foglight.
again, let me know. I got pulled over for having them.
SPD said it was too blue. just a warning.

I also chopped off the license plate just enough and repositioned it to bottom grill. give me comments/other ideas...

look great. :Beer

FYI - When I initially set by CAI up - I ran a similar setup from the lower grill. I found that to pushed too much water up into the engine area, and the filter would actually get wet, engine would get wet - more so on highway driving.

I then built a box around the filter and drove the hove up form the bottom, adding a slight baffle in front of the airstream. the box kept the engine bay clean, the baffle kept the filter dry. then you got to poke a hole in a low corner to drain the water that get in.

wow that was a great reuse of the airbox cap. The eyes look good on the fogs if you do the headlights I would probably sitck with doing one set so you dont over kill. I think doing both the fogs and one set on the headlights would look sharp but you need to color match them.

I would box in the area where the air box used to be with black or mirror plexi. It is easy to cut and easy to bond. cut a hole for the hose and you will have a nicely finished job.

yeah, I have little worries about water travelling up and getting the filter wet.
especially since I live in seattle. I'll drill a hole for water outlet.
I agree that angel eye on both high and low along with fog will be too much.
I think first, I NEED to find color matching angel eye.
or if I get grayghost's angel eye I'll take off the angel on foglight.

thanks...

I didnt notice where yo were from until you just mentioned it. I thought the streets looked very seattle like. Glad to see you had a sunny day to take the pics.

I was out there last year and the day I arrived it was beautiful but the following days were foggy from sun up to sun down. well ithink the sun came up; I asked my business associate when the sun comes up and he said April or May.

The angel on the fog lights are they onside our outside the lense? I have had the fog lights out and am curious if tehy can be seperated.

the angel on foglight is on the outside.
The rings are pretty much just glued to the foglight. I used a silicone.
I think I would get more life out of them since they are outside and not taking in the heat from the foglights.

It's really nice here in seattle these days.
it will stay this way until sept. then all hell break loose and starts raining until next feb. we didnt get too much rain this winter so there's already a talk of a water shortage.

I am trying to plan a trip with my wife to Seattle and Canada. Hopefully my business travel will permit us to make it out there. I really fell in love with the town and the food. The market was amazing. I got to try bubble tea for the first time. I bought some stuff to make my own here at home and am about out now; I am hooked.

the angle lights look nice, have you had any rocks hit them. also can someone tell me a bout the intake. how much ho does it add (can you tell the hp gain) also what brand do you recomend K&n or what. what did you do to the tail pipes you cant tell that i have any.

HP gains are uncertain, there was a nice long post about this, and it comes with a filter with the intake kit.

I've also been wondering about the exhaust. I don't see how tips could be added unless the muffler is replaced, or the turndown part torched off and tips put on.

I have been thinking about having my exhaust tips on my magnaflow chopped and having straight tips welded on. Has anyone done this?

I would love to take it out but it's illegal here in WA.
I have plenty of friends who got pulled over and got ticket for not having it in the front. so I did the next best thing which is to move it down instead of it's usally spot, right in the middle of the bumper.
I guess I could have it on my dash (which is what most people do here) but I dont want to clutter the dash with a plate.

$50 fine here in Texas..... (x 3 for me - I'm a slow learner.....)

did you use the relocation kit. It was mentioned in another threaed and a member there has to put a tag on. If you can post here how oyu did it.

I couldnt find a suitable mounting kit.
and too lazy to fabricate using the stock plate holder.
(you know me, Im all about using the stock components for better use. :invasion: )
so I just used a zip-tie to hold it in place.
luckily, WA dont need a sticker tab in the front so I was able to trim the plate to just show the lic plate number and have minimal space blacking the lower grill.

I have pebbles/rocks hit all the time especially since I take my car up to whistler in winter. far as I know, there isnt any damage from rocks hitting the lights. Far as I can tell, KKM air cone seem to show difference on freeway. biggest difference is sound. I notice nice humming of air rushing in during WOT. I believe K/N is replacement filter, dont know if they have cone.
My exhaust is stock, so it's weak.

I definitely enjoy the sound of a cone filter on the intake. I used a 3.5" K&N cone attached to an adapter I fabed up, works good.

There is a difference in the burnout test for the cone vs. stock. I had a little longer burnout in my parking lot with the cone than with stock. I think it is safe to say it helps the hp some.

Where can you get the plexi at? Do you need a saw to cut it? And what kind of bonding agent works the best?
Thanks in advance for a response - I would really like to make one, but my free time is limited and hunting this stuff down might take me awhile if I don't know.

Check the phone book or internet for some plastics folks. My grandfather used to buy stuff other there in OTown all the time at a sign shop. You can buy the scrap by the pound rather cheap. Acetone is a great bonding solvent. I will ask my grandmother is she can remember where the shop was at. I want to say it is on JYP but not certain. They live over by sea world in willamsburg so I know it would have been rather close to their home. He passed away last november so I can't go straight to the source now.

Hey glad to see you are in the SE chapter. The Tampa/Orlando membership is growing pretty stong now. Do you have the V6 or v8? I might have asked in another thread but i forget where it was.

looks good bu that is not a CIA. A CIA would be completely sealed like THIS or even your stock setup is actually cold air. What you have there is just the filter in the engine compartment soaking up hot air, not feeding in cold air at all. I just wanted to make this correction because I see so many people saying CIA when it isn't.

I would prefer to call the set up Ram Air Intake since its not cold air.

The Icebox looks great, but would that fit an LS or do they even make one for an LS?

She's a V8, and thanks for the tip - I'll look up some Sign places.

Can someone sell me their cold air intake box? I like the one Grayghost has on one of his pics.

Thanks.
