I'm planning a trip to Mt. Pocono in mid may (250 mile trip; if any other ls members are out there, I wouldn't mind meeting up.) However, I fear of overheating since my LS loves to play with me by randomly rupturing the upper radiator hose nipple that pushes coolant over to the intake manifold. (00' v6.) Can anyone point me in the right direction for an OEM upper radiator hose? I remember seeing a goodyear one on here a piece of time, but can't seem to find it online. Also, I have noticed my fan coming on in cold weather but i don't recall it ever coming on previous winters.

Now, for the main reason of this thread. I need lower control arm bushings (yes I've searched but did not yield specific points) for the rear end as mine are bone shot. Has anyone been able to fit a universal off-the-shelf bushing in there? If so, can you specify what exactly you used?

Thanks!

Rockauto.com has the upper radiator hose (Motorcraft) for $75.00 . I have bought a lot from them over the years...great selection, competitive prices, brand names and no quibble returns.

Sometimes, they even send you the brand that you ordered, not just the box with another brand in it...

And sometimes they send you the box with the brand you bought, but their generic brand is in the box. When you call them on it, they quibble. It's why I no longer use them.

Just located one online so no biggie there. The only thing now is the rear suspension and cruise control. Just a quick question, I have a code for the ATS system; would that cause my cruise to stop working? Clockspring is replace, and I read the actuator for the cruise might be to blame also, but I just want to be certain before I go ahead and start swapping parts. 00' v6 GEN 1.

Couple things to note:
- Code is C1805 mismatched PCM/ABS/TCW
- I pulled the bulb from the cluster for the ATS to stop the annoying flashing.
- The flashing ATS light does randomly turn solid when slipping on ice (abs activated) and stays that way until the car is restarted.
- ABS light is not activated
- Advance Track switch functions as it should (LED turns on when pressed, and off when pressed again.)

Never took my LS out of state in 3 years and would like to have a reliable and safe trip going and back.
Thanks a lot for your advice in advance!

how many miles does your ls have its a rule of thumb to replace all cooling components when one goes bad witch is usually every 100k.

almost touching 150k. Just did the radiator, degas, hoses to and from degas, lower radiator hose, water pump hose, and thermostat. It's just the upper radiator hoses I haven't touched yet but they're darn simple to get to.
