Well i was driving home from work an hour ago and all of a sudden i hear what sounds to be a cracking/ clicking noise.. i loook back and my back window is down about 2 inches.. when i try to roll it back up i can hear what sounds to be a distressed motor but nothing goes up.. now i can force the window up but it just slides all the way down again..

Heres what i need:
1. someone to give me an idea on how to keep my window up till i can get it fixed. everyhting i tried doesent work.

2. If u know how to fix or whats wrong that would be great and how can i get the cover of my door off so i can get to the motor and see whats wrong.

thanks

Had the same problem on my LS.....try pulling the window all the way up, and wedging something (i.e. screwdriver) in between the rubber seal and the window. This should keep it up long enough to get the regulator fixed. Ford now sells the regulator seperate from the motor so it is around 35-40 bucks for the part. Hope that helps. :dj:

Thanks for your help im gonna go out there now with a screwdriver.. hope this works

had this problem with my LS,, basiclly there is a plastic piece that connects to window mechanism and clamps onto the glass,, it breaks very easily, told me it was a common problem cause the piece is plastic.

they have to buy the new piece and take apart ur door, pretty easy fix for them.

i recommend u DONT sit there and watch them rip ur door panel off,,lol its not pretty.
