Can you imagine working for a company that has a little
more than 500 employees and has the following statistics:

36 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71, repeat 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 currently are defendants in lawsuits. and

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year
Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet? . . Scroll down, citizen!

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress.

The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

The government should be overthrown, they feed off of our money and get away with everything. Everywhere you look where somebody is making money, they have there hand in it. In my eyes, we are not a Capitalist country anymore. The government employees and lawmakers are the real Capitalists, because they earn(should I say steal) their salary from us the taxpayers. I'm 19, and between the economy, taxes, and insurance rates I will be lucky to own my own house by the time I'm friggin 35! It's getting harder and harder to earn a living because the government is greedy and WAY overpays their employees for doing nothing but come up with MORE ideas to take our money. I guess if you really look at the big picture, we are ALL government employees because we work for their salaries! The government is a big mess of scummy a$$holes and they are worse than punk, jobless kids living off their parents(you know the one's)! I have no respect at all for our government whatsoever and Barry's post etches my thoughts in stone.

VENTING COMPLETE

Man that is bogus. But it is true.

I hear ya Black87lsc. I am also 19 and it is getting harder and harder to make a living, and to get a job to even try. The goverment says the economy is fine. Yeah right I am right now unemployed agian. All I have been doing is working temp jobs such as last summer and Fall the Census. 6 month job. Everytime I go in for a steady part time job it's either they can't hire me because they can't afford to, or because of the hours. (I am in college, working around class ain't easy). I am terrified about what the future holds, I hope I can actually have my own home(with steady job of course) by the time I am in my late twenties. But the way things are, it doesn't look good. :soapbox: Politicians!!

I employ people your age. My customers have cut back so I must cut back. There is pent up demand and a lot of big cash waiting by the sidelines. These things are cyclical. I've weathered many of them.

I don't know how someone your age will be able to afford a home. The prices seem to be escalating much faster than wages. Please don't fall for those no-principal loans. They're just a trap.

If you really want to improve your chances of success, start your own business. I started my first business when I was 20. I came back from my honeymoon penniless and found out I no longer had a job because of the recession. I came home one day and told my wife I had started a sprinkler installation business.

Now I'm 53 and this is my 28th year in business. I own a lighting maintenance company. Fancy name for changing light bulbs. I found my niche. You can find one too.

I pay a guy $20 a week to walk my 1 acre lot and pick up dog poop. There's a market for every service. What are you good at?

Well, Iam in school training to be a tech for automotive repair. Even being a student in the feild has'nt given me much luck for a job in a garage.

Animals, love animals. I have always been good with animals. Right now I have been trying to find a simple job walking dogs or taking care of animals at a vet or something for some extra cash. I volunteered at Brookfeild zoo for over two years. Benefit of it was tuition. I got a discount on my tuition for my voluntereer work. Which was great.

I also like gardening. I have a nice back yard garden that I tend to for my parents. I enjoy it very much. Maybe I can get a job doing some garden work at peoples homes.

Thats what I can think of off the top of my head that I am good at. I do think I may start my own buisness, what it will be I don't know yet. But I have always wanted my own buisness.
