pop rivet gun

So I bought a strut tower repair kit for the van today. The kit included 3/16" rivets so I bought a gun for that size. The rivet is way to big for the gun. I measured the rivet .165 and the end on the gun (for the 3/16") was .135, long story short went to about three different stores and all their guns were to small. Is there a special type of rivet gun that I need?

Forgive me if I insult you, but you DO know that it's the nail that goes into the gun, don't you?

Is the nail end too long to reach the rivet?

Most rivet guns available have multiple screw on tips, I have one and it comes with something like 15 tips, and it is hydraulic. I can lend it if you need it as long as you send it back.

I got this yrs ago at a government sale on base one day, it is what we used in the military. You may be able to get something like it at a Northern Toll or Harbor Freight. But like I said previous, I can offer it to you as long as I get it back.

Here is a general idea what this goes for and this one does not have all the tips that mine has, do not think you want to pay tht kind of money for a single use job.
