I put a set of Porterfield pads on my '94 - all way 'round :)
(Porterfield R-4S, Front AP598, Rear AP599)
After bedding them in a bit and letting them sit to cool, I went for a 'spirited' drive and they are definately better overall than the stockers. Intial cold bite is average, a little bit better than the stockers. Once warmed up though, they grab harder than the oem, more so when really warm! After driving around like an idiot they did seem to not fade near as fast as the oems. I can get them to fade after some real silly driving, but it's nothing that should be done on public roads ;)
Overall a better pad, especially once warmed up! Lets see how the dust is now...
They were a bit pricey for me, but that's because of UPS bending me over at the border with brokerage fees, then they would be a decent priced pad. I ordered them from Livermore Performance in CA, the service was good and the guys real helpful with info and getting them to me, to bad they use UPS, lol...

Many of the LS crowd have been running these for a few years now. The carbon kevlar do not dust - I have chrome rims.

I have 44,000miles on the LS - this is the fifth set of Porterfields I wil have installed.... waiting on the weekend.

my auto-crossing has something to do with the wear...

I found they dusted real bad when first 'bedding' them in. I've since cleaned the rims real good and not had to touch them since and they still look quite good. At least the dusting is lighter than the other semi metallic pads I had.

Anyone know how well they would work with cross drilled/slotted rotors? Right now I have Raybestos ceramic pads and they squeak with my new rotors.
