I have a question, nothing against you Bryan........Why is it that some posts ALWAYS stay at the top of the MAIN PAGE of the MARK VIII forum, I really need an answer to this cuz its going to determine whether I ever post or come here again, it just seems strange that posts from certain people happen to be at the top of the forum page week after week while the rest of the posts seem to disappear by the wayside!!!!!!...........they just seem to fade away into the sunset................having said that , I bid you adieu !!!!

? I have'nt noticed that. This place is NOTHING like CZ28.com 50,000 members, it gets so bad you lose your thread in minutes.

Everett, do you mean posts that are "Sticky"? If so they are just that "Sticky" They are set to that by the mods for various reasons, like special alerts or announcements, or group buy possibilities.

We are a HUGE and busy group here, the largest of its king on the web, most posts are gone in one day, not really gone but on the next page thats all. ALL message boards are like this Cubby.

Cubby...I am replying to your post...so it gets bumped back up to the top. :)

Geno is right. STICKIES are special posts that NEVER move down...they are kept up top so that they never get bumped down the ladder. That way they are always visible...probably because they contain vital, or important info for everyone to see, everytime they visit the forum.

Now go get a JMOD buddy! I'd rather see you chirpin the hides, than gettin steamed up about threads.

Everyone here is equally as important as the next guy...just consider yourself a valuable member of the huddle...

There are NEVER any nefarious goings on here on this site. We do are best to make sure it never happens. That said, you were correct to point out, but as Geno already mentioned, there is a feature called 'sticky' that holds a post at the top. There were a couple of 'sticky's' put up on the Mark VIII forum that I felt were important to the members. One, or even 2 I myself put up. One had to do with the 2nd Gen starting problem that many of us we're having in cold weather. (It was a real hassle knowing your car wouldn't start and we found a solution). Number two that is still up there is the group buy poll for interest in an "Eaton, Whipple, Bell" blower deal. I felt that was important because the "b" headed 4 valve guys were kind of skipped over in the hp wars because of our crappy pistons, ring lands, and rods, I was hoping to get the attention of a vendor that caters to the stang crowd that he might have a nice little market to serve if he actually went ahead and gave us an intake system we could use to match up to our heads.

I understand your concern but I really don't know where some of the 'attitude' comes from. And I am not attacking you or anyone else. All any of us that do the admin stuff around here want is a friendly atmosphere of camaraderie and a happy group of people talking about cars or anything else that someone has on their mind. We may not be able to please everyone all the time, but I will tell we go way out of our way to make this the best place to visit on the web. This response of mine is an indicator of that I hope.

If any member on this board has a concern or a question regarding how the site is run or anything else concerning other members, etc, etc, etc,. please contact one of us and we'll try to help out as best we can.

All we want is love and a 4000 lb car that can do the Quarter in ten flat! Is that too much to ask.

There is only 1 post thats a sticky in the Mark VIII Forum. (Bryan, is that still relevant?)

All other posts are moved lower automatically by the forum software. I dont think I could make a post stay at the top even if I wanted to, unless it is a sticky.

The thread with the most recent post always moves to the top and pushes the other down. Its automatic.
