Unless I'm missing some unknown parts resource I cannot locate a "new" replacement poteniometer for the Tilt/Telescoping steering wheel in my 98 LSC. So I was wondering if anyone had tried to actually repair one of those puppies. Have never taken my column apart I don't even know what it consists of.. Gotta be a way to slice and dice it open and replace the defective electrical parts....

Thoughts?

See if this helps...there is a mark viii steering wheel repair in " tech articles"
at the top of the page.

i have a perfectly working potentiometer listed on ebay, its the only one on there, just type in mark VIII potentiometer, the only reason why i took the column apart is because it was broken, but it still moved up and down and in and out, but the column wasnt repairable so i took the potentiometer and the motors out of it to salvage what good parts i could.

Jamie....I just sent you a customer in need of one via email request....he will call you.
