Seeing that this is the "new" thing to do, & I've retired from the painting business, I think that this will be my next project, how many in here would be interested in having something powder coated at a reasonable price ? I need to find a building that can accomedate an oven thats 11' x 8 x 9 + a spray booth & a 4'x4'x4' oven, when I do I'll be taking orders. :feedback

I think it would be a great addition to the services offered by vendors on this board.

I am, its going to be a hobby thing, if it takes off I'll give it to my daughters, it just seems like theres a huge market out there for powder coating and there isn't anyone around here doing it, besides all play & no work is the "devils" workshop.........

Please explain

I'm fairly new to this stuff and was wondering what this powder coating is or what it does or what its for? Someone in a previous thread spoke of offering a port & polish job for intake manifolds, is this similar?

No 2 totally different things, powder coating in short is spraying a plastic like material on metal then putting it into an oven to bake, when its done it looks like paint only 1000 times more durable. My calipers & rotors are powder coated chrome, they look nasty . Port & polish is grinding down the sharp edges on the intake to allow more air in and polishing them smooth.
