power running board replacement?

Anybody know where to get replacement steel for power deploy running boards? Mine can't be the only ones that rusted out and cant seem to find where to get them other than dealer or yard...

saw a youtube where a guy made them with angle iron, but I'm not a welder...

... mine look just like his before replacement.

I'd love to find a way to replace with some kinda composite... ideas?

I priced out the new running boards for mine before i sold it and the dealer seemed to be the only place you could get them new. Might be worth it to bite the bullet on this one, unless you know somebody willing to experiment with aluminum/stainless steel.
