Wanting to fix my power seat today, i went to the pick and pull and no suprise there were no mk8 there so i went for an alternative and since the 2000 Town Car already had the seat unbolted I proceeded to take the motors out of it. Got home ripped my seat out and went to work. Here is what I found the motor housings are the same size BUT the bushings are different sizes. I only grabbed one fitting, which appears to be brass unlike the one that was in my seat. The brass bushing did find in the mk8 seat housing and gearset fit.
I know there are an abundance of TCs out there so I hope that will help someone out.
