I have a 95 TownCar and I've bleed the system and added a couple different additives but I still have a problem with the system puking fluid back out of the reservoir when I turn it off and sometimes while it's idling.

I'm thinking it may be the pump, a check valve stuck but would like to know if anyone else has run into this? I have used the factory fix of jacking it up and turning it lock to lock with the engine off to try to bleed any air out but so far nothing has worked.
:(

Power steering fluid

No one else have a problem like this ? ? ?

sorry I have never heard of this problem
in fords process of getting air out you do have to crank the engine with out starting then with starting the engine
just did and idler arm last night to my 95 Town car
nice to see another MN member you dont post much though

I dont post much either, I think most people only care when they have a problem..... then its I dont have time for Lincolnvscadillac.com! lol

is there a "muffler" on the ps line? not sure on each year TC setup.
ive ran into the mufflers mostly on tauruses its basically a can in the line a little smaller than a pop can, and air gets trapped in there and when you shut it off the compresses air in the muffler pushes out the fluid. theres a special vac cap that fits the pump/reservoir and you cycle the wheel back and forth too bleed out the air. a dealer shouldn't charge tooooooo much to do this, just tell them you need to bleed the ps system

I don't spend much time here unless I do run across a problem I can't find any help or info on and I pick someone's brain. I'll help people out when I'm cruising through the posts.
I have a reman pump and new hoses for the Town Car I just haven't had the time to install them. The car is stored in another state.
