Well, you all may remember this thread.
2nd set of tires and still vvvibrating (This is the link if you want to check it out)
http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=10217

Long story short, (read the thread) I installed the new (to me) wheels today and NO MORE VIBRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. YES, THE NEW WHEELS FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 70 -80 mph and she is smooth as silk, other than normal road bumps and i couldn't be happier than i am right now, and the guys at the Goodyear place told me that the new wheels wouldn't fix the problem; tried to steal my happiness prematurely! I also went right to the Chrysler dealership with part number in hand, obtained from the knowledge found at LVC, for the Sebring lug nuts, that fight absolutely perfect.
THANK YOU LOYAL LS FANS FOR YOUR GREAT KNOWLEDGE AND INSIGHT!!!

I'm glad to hear you got your wheel/tire issue fixed. It probably feels like a new car now.

so what was all that vibrating from? my ride vibrates now that i got rims.....its on falken azenis.....20 inch........!

Wow I'm glad you got it fixed. I had a similar problem - car was always great, and I bought a new set of tires and it developed a vibration above 70 mph. I had the tires balanced 13 times, I had them rotated 180 degrees on the wheels, I had all four replaced, and nothing could fix that vibration. I had the whole car checked over and nobody could find a cause.

That ^$#(#$* vibration was a MAJOR reason why I got rid of the damn car. Well, that and the leaking valve covers, bad thermostat, coolant leak, ineffective heater, ineffective AC, etc.

Definently have a vibration myself over 70mph. I know it's that damn front left tire. Could it be that it is unbalanced or maybe one of the lug nuts isn't fully tightened? I thought it was the torque converter at first... but now I know it's the tire. It is also isn't wearing evenly, has to be the culprit. Needs a new tire and get re-balanced ?

I feel embarassed driving on the highway with anyone in the car... Needs to get resolved. Thanks. :Beer

Man, you know it does feel like a new car! I could always judge my speed without even looking at the speedo; vibration= 70+mph. Now, i find myself at 80mph, and i'm thinking, "oh crap let me slow down". And in my opinion the car looks better to with the late model wheels on it. Thanks, Ken

It had to be one of my wheels. read the post i linked to this post and you'll see what i went through. You may want to have your wheels "road force balanced".
