i lost my wedding band. i have no clue where or when. it was a little over a week ago, i know i was on a job replacing some railing at a grocery store that someone ran into with their car and broke it all. we had to core drill new holes in the sidewalk and mix up some quikcrete and put the new rails in. at one point i took my ring off and put it in my pocket so i could stick my hand in the bucket and mix up the cement. after that i washed my hands and put my ring back on. went back to work, emptied the truck out and clocked out and went home, took a shower and went to bed, when i woke up the next morning i realized my ring was gone, i have no idea how or when it came off my finger, i tore my bedroom and my house apart, its gone. cant find it anywhere. it was a very costly platinum ring from Kay Jewelers, i'm so pissed. i can get another ring but like my wife said its not the same, she isnt mad at me about it, but its bothering both of us, our wedding bands matched and i cannot buy the same one now, only something similar. piss me off, this has been a horrible past few weeks so much :q:q:q:q has gone wrong i'm so stressed right now.

How do other people who work in the trades prevent that from happening? Making sure you put it in the same safe place every time is an important step, but what else?

I was thinking about getting a sturdy necklace or clip for my keychain to put a ring for safe keep. Still looking for some more ideas.

my ring was a size 10, it really needed to be resized to a 9, when we got married 5 years ago it fit me perfect, over time i have lost weight due to a great diet of water and cigarettes so my fingers got skinny but i never took it back to resize it and now i dont have to i guess.

put it in your cars ashtray which we dont use and put it back on when you get back in the car that way its on at all times etc at work where it could get messed up chains still break but the ash tray wont or get a little ring box and lock it in the glove box

I have been hesitating taking mine off for the same reason but
I really should take it off with how manny people in my field have hurt

That's why any time I wouldn't be wearing my wedding band (If and when I get married) that I will be wearing it on a necklace like that similar to those military dogtag necklaces. Reason being too is that you cannot wear jewelry during massage.

One downfall is all the dates I've been on this week every one of the girls wanted to drink which meant cheating my diet which makes me feel like crap cause I spend a lot of money to keep my body healthy.....maybe I should pour them vodka in their glass and water in mine

My dad almost lost a finger to his wedding band.
We were looking at a model T in a trailer with high sides
When my dad jumped off he got it caught on a nail and hung by his ring.
We had to lift him off ...his finger was so messed up they wanted to cut it off.
It was purple for a long time.

I would leave it on the nightstand.
Put it on when your home.
Always put it in the same spot.

Well of coarse it did but it still doesn't evade the fact that alcohol puts on weight very easy and ?I have yet to meet a girl who can keep up with my stamina and go long than 3hrs before things start hurting for them

Sorry for your loss bud! I lost my engagement ring my wife bought me at honeymoon island playing water football. I was so pissed off!

Two weeks later my wedding ring went flying out the window swatting a bee. I spent 4 hours going up and down the road looking for it. Finally I saw it fly off the back wheel of a big rig. Man that was luck! Hope you have the same outcome I did.....well on my second ring that is.

i'm just gonna buy another ring, we both found a really awesome black carbide coated tungsten ring for cheap money, i like it and so does she and its cheap so i figure if it gets lost or beat up i wont be out as much as i am out from this ring i lost. i'm getting the correct size too so it wont fly off, if i lose a finger oh well, at least the ring will stay on it!! i'm still pissed, i can get any ring i want to replace it but i'm only marrying her once, and thats the ring she put on my finger, so this new one wont do anything for me , it will just show i am married. the ring i lost is now $749 bucks if i want the same one, no way am i spending money like that, i wouldnt even if i could.
