Probably Stupid buttt....

Front or rear? I can't imagine that they'd change the mounting positions of the front seats. Not like the car ever went through any major sheetmetal redesigns.

I'd expect the mounts to be the same, but the wiring harness/connector for the '05 seats might be different, since those LSes had climate-controlled seats as an option. They also had rear heated seats as an option, but that shouldn't be an issue.

I installed climate control seats in my wife's Aviator because some idiot didn't order them. To say the least, it's a job. The seats are self contained, and the Aviator has the separate controls in the armrest. You think it would be an easy swap. Wrong. To do it properly (as the factory did) you have a lot of harnesses to build. You will be amazed at the differences. Where the LS uses the controls with the ATC, it may not be as involved, but that's assuming you can come up with the proper ATC unit and harness, plugs, etc to fit it. I also did mine so that you had full factory access through the ALDL connector. Actually, that is a must because the modules may need to be programmed to your vehicle when your finished. I am proof it can be done, but none of the factory wiring is there and you need to build it yourself.

while on the topic of seats, has anyone pulled the bench out of the back and replaced it with buckets? would this even work?
