Im new to this site, great site!!

I was just wondering what you guys think my problem could be, the car was driving fine when all of a sudden I tried to pass someone up and the car died, it just went out on me didnt stall or anything, first I thought what? did I run out of gas but I still had 1/2 tank, luckily I was able to pull to a side street, I tried to start the car and it did, but it would barely stay on it would idle rough at less than 1000 rpm, I couldnt rev it up, or anything, I thought that the fuel pump went out on me but the tow tuck driver said it wouldnt start if that was the case, could it be just the filter is clogged, it has 74000 miles on it by the way, well last night after dinner I went back to the ls and tried to start it, did the same thing, then I pumped the gas pedal about 3-4 times turned the key again and vroom it started fine, it seems fine but im afraid to drive it what if it leaves me somewhere, im new here to phoenix and dont know anyone in case i need help.

Contact GrayGhost1 he has alot of knowledge of the LS, he owns one, as soon as other LS owners are online they can help you!!!

sorry about all the questions, I just have one more, I was told by a friend that I need some sort of speacial tool to remove the fuel filter for the ls, is this true and if it is what is the name of the tool, where can I buy it? Again sorry and thanks.

I would try the fuel filter first - it is suppose to be changed every 30,000miles.

Changing the fuel filter is very easy - no special tools are needed. It uses standard Ford plastic r-clips that pop off and on.

Simply remove the driver's front wheel, remove the wheel well liner by popping the plastic pins, and the fuel filter is right there.

Is the fuel filter next to the front left wheel or the rear left wheel?
