PROOF POSITIVE THAT GEORGE W. BUSH WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS ONE OF THE GREATEST PRESIDENTS EVER!

I'm going to go out and shoot 75 today. I'm in such a good mood.

Georgians burst police lines to welcome Bush
By Paul Sims, Evening Standard
10 May 2005

"Surging crowds broke through police lines in Georgia at a square where President Bush was expected to speak today.

Thousands of people poured on to Freedom Square despite strict security, with barricades smashed to the ground.

Georgia's US-educated president, Mikhail Saakashvili, said as many as 150,000 people had gathered to hear Mr Bush. Many Georgians hope his visit will increase pressure on Russia to withdraw the Soviet-era military bases it still maintains on Georgian territory and end its backing for two separatist regions."

Yes, this is in the former Soviet Union, not the US. Hooray for George. Oh ya, and the 1st President to ever to visit the Baltics. Worldwide FreedomFighter.

They've been fed a line of crap for so long they don't know the difference. If you think this wasn't set up by their politicians, then you're stupid.

"Worst President Ever"

Not to mention - your taking the opinions of russians that we have a good president? You musta been to the 19th hole already

I wonder if those 150,000 attendees had to pass the GOP litmus test like the American people have to do to get close to GW (like his so-called SS "town meetings")? If so, this is just another staged play intended to further brainwash the media and the world's people. The poster is proof that its working.

BFD.

Have any of you leftist folks even bothered to read the story about this visit and history of the Republic of Georgia? Particularly the Rose revolution and Americas support of that country's sovereignty from Russia...or are you just jumping to conclusions as do most lefties...

Somebody wants him dead BIGTIME.
While he was speaking today In Soviet Georgia, someone threw a granade and it landed about a hundred feet from him.
Luckily it didn't go off.

Most of the Georgian officials were also on stage and a lot closer so that is wild speculation at best.

I would have to disagree with you!

Grenade found near Bush was dud: Georgian official

TBILISI (Reuters) - Georgian security officials discovered a grenade close to President Bush as he hailed the country's new democracy before a rapturous crowd on Tuesday.

Officials in the former Soviet republic, which had hosted a serving U.S. president for the first time, were at pains to play down the incident, saying it was a dud that could not explode.

Georgia's security chief, speaking to journalists on Wednesday, did not confirm an earlier report from Washington that said the device had been thrown within 30 meters (100 feet) of Bush during his speech on Tbilisi's Freedom Square.

``A (Soviet-made) RPG-5 hand grenade was found at the square,'' Gela Bezhuashvili, secretary of Georgia's Security Council, said. It had been discovered 50 meters (160 feet) from where Bush stood, he said, but he gave no more precise details.

``It was not in working condition. In fact there was no chance it could explode. I think the aim was to scare people and attract attention,'' he said.

Another Georgian official, speaking anonymously, confirmed the device had been found while Bush was making his speech.

There was no word on whether anyone had been detained in connection with the incident.

``These reports are completely false,'' an interior ministry official said. ``There were no explosives.''

Earlier, the U.S. Secret Service said it was investigating a report by Georgian authorities that a possible hand grenade had been thrown to within 30 meters (100 feet) of Bush.

Georgia was the scene of a ``Rose Revolution'' in late 2003 that installed a pro-western government and Bush hailed its new democracy as a ``beacon of liberty'' to chants from a crowd of nearly 150,000 people.

The Caucasus region is home to a string of local conflicts arising from the collapse of the Soviet Union. Georgia borders Russia's troubled Chechnya region and is on the route for a U.S.-backed pipeline linking Caspian oilfields to world markets.

You know. You made this comment about oil in another thread about how we are stealing all of Iraq's oil and it was all about the oil. I have to admit you do make me laugh time-to-time.

Why is Iraq the only country we are NOT stealing more oil from? And this is the top 5. Also holds true for the top 15.
