Hello all, I am proud to say that I just purchased my first Lincoln, a 1997 Mark VIII. I found it online at a dealership. It has 101K miles on it, heated seats, moonroof, and many other options. One I found odd is the hood ornament. I never seen another M8 with one, and I have looked at a lot of others. I think it is because of the chrome packaged purchased when it was new. There are dealer pics here:

There are a few things that I need to do, such as repair the front fender behind both tires, it is starting to rust. Then I am replacing the air suspension bags in it. Eventually, I hope to get the windows tinted and get new rims. I like the alluminum ones of the the 2001-2002 Continentals. Hope to have this car forever, but I want to get another as my primary driving car, someday.

A little about myself:

I am 15 years old, almost 16. I don't have my liscence yet, or my permit, but I get that soon. I have loved Lincolns as long as I can remember. I don't really like modding them too much, I really like keeping them as stock as possible. Sorry this thread was soo long!:)

:W to :V you will get all the answers you need from other Mark VIII owners.

welcome, its awsome to have the mark viii as your first car. BTW when you start driving you are gonna want some more power but don't do anything ricy to the car

welcome i am also new here i have had my mark (1994) for a little over a year now and it was my first car also. I have done a few things to it over the year and now im looking at building a nice street/strip motor for it.

PS: dont let the car get you in trouble and it will quick. im not saying that you cant handel the power or the speed but both are there stock. about 6 months after i got mine i got a ticket for 60 in a 30 zone and it felt like i was only doing 35-40 mph.

Welcome man.

I learned to drive in a VIII. I've owned quite a few in my short time here on earth, and hope to own at leat 2 till I die. if you have any questions, this is the place to be. :D
