Well I only have one mirror hooked up right now and when i turn my car off the passenger puddle light on the mirror stays on and it will kill my battery.. what would cause this? faulty door lock assembly? my door ajar sign isnt on but it comes on every once in a while.

Has your FEM gotten wet (moonroof drain leak)?

my fem had condensation on it when my trunk lid seal failed. but i enver turned the car on and removed it and wiped it down.. the puddle light issue just started

Found the culprit. it turned out to be the cable connecting the plunger to the lock assembly being torn. I must of done that when last time I opened it up. I sourced out a Motorcraft lock assembly for $60 brand new on craigslist near my place.

I have no idea how to remove that yellow clip that is attached to the rod going to the door handle???... This looks like it's going to be a pain in my ass.

It's actually pretty easy if you know just where to pry it open. (You don't remove it, you open it and the rod pops out.) Unfortunately, I am unable to usefully describe how to do it. You should be able to figure it out once you have the replacement part in hand. Finding a new one for $60 is very nearly unbelievable.
