i like my music, and when i want, i like it real loud. i wanted to put something nice in my truck but dont have money falling out of my ass but i scored a killer deal off craiglist, a kid was hurting for money, young, 2 kids, just married and moved to fl from cali recently and needed quick cash. this is what i got, a kenwood excelon kdc x481 deck, 2 sets of 6.5 kicker ds650 component speakers with crossovers, a self contained kenwood dvc box with amp and wired freq and bass gain remote, and an alpine v-12 4 channel amp all this stuff was 6 months old for $225 bucks. the only thing i am not keeping is the kenwood sub, because i already have a sealed box custom built for my truck to fit under the rear seat with dual 10 inch subs. i had to make some modifications to the inner steel structure of the back of my truck to get the 6.5 kickers to fit in the factory 4x6 holes. i used my dremmel to turn the holes round for the kickers which worked mint, and i didnt butcher it either i kept the cutting to a minimal and clean, i had to make a plastic plate for the tweeters to fit the front doors under the speaker grills and forgot to paint the resin i used before i put the door panels back on lol, oh well!! my truck had a factory cassette in dash and a seperate cd player down in the center console, i needed to fill the hole from the cd player so i went down a few shops to my buddy ryan who makes billet grilles for cars on a water jet and saw he had scrap pieces of true carbon fiber in his trash so i snagged it all! i made a filler plate for the cd opening and used the carbon fiber to do the trick. it actually looks pretty dam good! so i'm just on the hunt for two 10 inch subs and another amp for the new box. the kenwood box is for sale if anyone wants it! i also restored the tail lights back to stock, someone tried tinting the lenses with black paint, OMFG was that a joke to sand off and correct!!
the stereo actually looks brand new but the pic shows the dust on it from me being a slob!!

i want to sell that sub in the pics, the whole thing the sub, box, amp its a whole self contained unit, 200 watt amp built in, its a 10 inch sub with a dual voice coil. it sounds real nice but it wont fit under the seat and i dont want a box on my back seat, its a temp! i'd let it go for $110 plus shipping, the only thing wrong with it you can see in the pic one of the fingers on the grill in front of the sub is broke off. it looks great and works great. here is the other side of it...

its easy because its all contained and even the wiring is on it, you can use rca's to hook it up or high level input off rear speakers.

i just put the sub box on c-list hopefully someone grabs it today i want to get the new box in it and relocate my amp and finish hiding everything.
