Ok, my brother has a 97 GT, just decided to toss the 2v, ran a best of 12.5, and bought an on3 turbo kit for it, after about 5 minutes of run time, motor seized, found a good amount of oil in the cylinder, thanks to patriot pi heads. Has a worn valve guide I believe, not sure but he is junking them. He already has bought a cobra intake, complete, and 96 cobra heads. We are going to use his wiring harness, and know we will be splicing to make some wires longer. Now he has no cruise, so we are just going with a 97-98 mark viii throttle cable, no imrc box as deletes came with the intake, and he already has 4:30s. We still have a couple of more items to buy, but my question is, since he deleted his heater pipes, what should we do about the "crackpipe" coming out the back of the passenger dohc head, and the water pump nipple, that runs in the intake valley? Can we just crimp these or cap them off? As the water pump tube on the 2v, rerouted back into the intake, was this just for cooling the heads or intake or what? If thats the case, then I would see no problem in crimping it, as the dohc heads have the crossover tube for cooling. What about the "crackpipe"? That's just for the hot water running through the car so you can have heat, correct? If thats the case, then it will be crimped, capped or welded.
