Question about changing the transmission filter

The transmission filter from Motorcraft does not come with a gasket. But I understand that the gasket is reusable?

If the original gasket looks ok it is reusable. It says so in the tech articles section in the Transmission fluid change article.

Ok well other than that I'm not sure really. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

yea, reuse it...and if it starts leaking...oh well, start over. we dont sell gaskets in the filter kits for our purolator AT Filter kits at the Pbz

yes,in fact the newer trans pans have the same looking gasket and say right on the pan "equiped with reusable gasket" so unless its broken reuse it,thy seal nicely.
