question about LSE mirror

I see that my rear view mirror has two buttons. does anyone know what they are for?

I think the one is for the dim feature, I forget what its called, but it dims the mirror when bright lights are behind you. The other just kills the compass. Its been a while since I messed with them, so I'm kinda guessing, never did read that owners manual.

That's what they are. One turns the auto-dimming function on and off; the other turns the compass display on and off.
