Question about the Sport Premium

Hey all I know I read on the forum that there were Sport Premium models that were Sport but also had things like the wood paneling which I personally think is very nice.

When I took my car to the dealer and they put my vin in, their computer did in fact label it a sport premium, but I'm confused as to how it is or what option set maybe that changes it? Thanks so much, if there's a forum that asks something similar sorry in advance but I only read about them having wood which mine doesn't. Pics included.

Wot? Do you mean the black part of the grille lol, bc I too think it need not be black

No, the chrome ... on both the front hood grille and the rear plate surround. Black vinyl or paint it. "Color Match" it to the rest of the car. Lose the plastic chrome.

Oh lol well I'll probably get around to that once I get the other many minor things this car needs done. Like the damn drivers side rear window regulator

AFAIK, mainly sport suspension + wood interior. I don't think that the option packages were a factor.

Huh okay, that's what I read up on other posts I just thought it was weird at Ford they put it in and it came up as 03 Sport Premium.

They sure didn't clarify too well when they made these thanks for info!

Off topic but I second getting rid of that chrome... It makes the car look like crap. If Ford sold all these cars without the chrome I guarantee they would have had better numbers. I get compliments all the time since deleting the chrome.

Finding a chrome grille will be difficult, but even black on black looks better than that silly shiny stuff lol. It's SO tacky.

Magna flow Exhaust tips.

Have some 1st GEN two tone EURO inner tail lamps. Boat load of other 1st GEN tail lamps, even an entire tinted set.

Several wheel sets with winters.

now I may be wrong, but I though that the sport premium had the sport suspension and shifter, but the V6/non sport wood steering wheel, shifter, door & dash trim and all of the ugly chrome on the bumpers?

Yeah, doesn't look like it to me either. However, I will say that my premium sport does not have any chrome on either bumper. I don't think that any did.
He doesn't have the wood wheel and it's hard to tell, but looks like the rest of the wood trim is missing too.

yeah it appears to be the same fish scale aluminum trim my 03 sport has.
