A quick question about HOEN Xenonmatch bulbs for the foglights; does anybody give you the brights during nighttime driving due to the fact that this is a higher output bulb compared to the OEM bulb? I plan on getting these from LS Koncepts but just want to make sure they aren't too bright, since I usually drive with the fogs on at night.

Thanks to anyone that can help ...........Jim>>>.>>(mint05LS)

Jim,

I installed these for my 06 LS, and I do not get flashed. I think the foggies are mounted too low to really be an issue. I think if you stick with the bulbs Ken at LS Koncepts recommends (e.g., without the special connectors, etc.), you should not have any problems.

Thanks for the information Todd G.; I am going to order these tonight from Ken. Do you notice a difference from the OEM driving lamps?

Take care.Jim>>>>>>>>>>.(mint05LS)

Difference in what way?

The biggest difference is that they match my factory HID lights, which was the main reason I got them. The OEM bulbs were very yellow. The Hoens are also a bit brighter.

How do I tell if I have the HID lights and not some blue headlights? They are very blue/white and don't match the yellow brights and fogs. If I do I think I will get the HOEN bulbs also.

From the color, it sounds like you have them. You can double check by opening the hood and looking around the headlight. There will be a sticker that says Danger High Voltage! if you have the HIDs.

Yeah I have that sticker. w00t!

Great! Keep in mind that the HID lights are for the low-beams only. The high beam and foglight use conventional incandescent halogen bulbs. So, if you want all your bulbs to match the HID color, you must swap both the high beam and foglight. I did this, and it looks great.

Ken and the LSKoncepts website will help you choose the proper bulbs for your highbeams and foglights. I used size 9005 Xenonmatch Plus for the high beams and Xenonmatch H11s in the foglights. Non-LSE models take 9145/H10 for the fogs, so choose appropriately.

Thanks for the info. I will purchase these from Ken next paycheck. I spent everthing on the car last week. What little I had left over bought the LSE grill and the True-Rev Sport Induction Kit.

Blue bulbs are next. :)

I am looking forward to installing these when they arrive;thanks again Todd!
