I have lurked on the site for some time, and have found a lot of good information. I have a heavily modded 95 T-Bird and I have collected a good portion of parts for a PI swap (figure you guys know what that is, but if not I can elaborate). I decided that I will most likely sell everything I just bought because a Mark DOHC will give me far better power for my future goals. The years I can use are 93-96 so if anyone is selling one cheap I am interested.

I have a few questions only you guys can answer.
1) How much nitrous can a DOHC handle safely, I have been running a 125 on my SOHC for a few years with no issues.
2) How much boost is safe to run on a stock engine?
3) From what I have been told I can use forged rods/pistons from a 03/04 cobra motor and they will go right in, is this correct?
4) With a stock Mark engine about how much power would I have with say 125 shot, 90mm L-Maf, custom exhaust, shorty headers, CAI, and a fuel pressure regulator?

Thanks in advance for you help. Oh and I have a friend with a 90 Mark VII so I know I will need info on that car as well, and he blames me for getting him into the luxury hot rod world.

I'm selling one cheap.Third gear is out in the tranny though.

1) How much nitrous can a DOHC handle safely, I have been running a 125 on my SOHC for a few years with no issues. 125 shot all day. DOHC motors love the juice and boost.
2) How much boost is safe to run on a stock engine? No more than 8 psi. Ring lands are weak.
3) From what I have been told I can use forged rods/pistons from a 03/04 cobra motor and they will go right in, is this correct? Should
4) With a stock Mark engine about how much power would I have with say 125 shot, 90mm L-Maf, custom exhaust, shorty headers, CAI, and a fuel pressure regulator? We have a good MAF, 24 lbers, crappy exhaust manifolds and 2 dozen cats. LOL. Unless the CAI is in the bumper, forget it. Regulator will help especially if the fuel pump is old. With a 2-1/2 exhaust and maybe a cobra intake and a 125 shot, 360 rwhp should be doable.

Sounds good, I am pretty sure my headers will swap over so that should free up a few ponies. Is the stock MAF actually better than a 90MM, I am asking because I already have a 90mm on my car. Are there any cheap gains I can use, I dont want underdrives since I think I may do another system in my car. Hopefully I can produce enough to net me a mid 13 or so in a lighter car (I think the Mark's are around 4500lb compared to mine at about 3800 right now). Is there a preferred blower for these engines, the cobra guys seem to love the Novi 2k and the D1SC. After changing the internals I would like to be in the 500+ range and be streetable. The guys on modulardepot said it should be pretty easy, but I would like input from you guys.

i thought a lot of the cobra r's have a kenne-belle blower? if anything when im set on doing a supercharger im probably going to go with them anyway.

Would definetly like to do a roots blower, are the a lot of options? I think there is one that can be adapted from Whipple, KB might make one, and Eaton maybe?

Kenne Bell makes a 96-98 Blowzilla for the B heads. I think the kits goes for around $3800. Eaton does not make any direct-fit B head blowers, but some performance shop allegedly was going to produce adapters for 03 Cobra Eatons to bolt onto B heads, but that never happened.

Looked at the KB kit and it looks like a pretty good design. It shows on a 96-98 Cobra it made 440hp/426ft with the 6psi kit. I assume just like all the others the smaller pullies are available. so I think I could hit my goal on a safe tune with a 10psi/12psi pulley. Anyone running with kit on a mark, how do you like it, drivability issues, etc. Keep in mind this will be after doing internals. My goal is to hit 450-500 to the ground and still keep it's "street manners".
