I was wondering how that LED or neon light panel worked. Mine only comes on 1/2 the time, what is the deal with that? I am assuming that it need so much voltage for it to light up, is that correct? When I replaced my battery it light up everytime for a few days then it stopped, so I replaced my alternator and it lit up every time for a week. Now it just lights up every now and then. If I play with the headlight switch and turn the lights on and off a few times I can get it to light up. I was just wondering what the deal is and if there is a quick fix for it.

You have a neon tail lamp. Chances are that the ballast/starter may be going out or having a connectivity issue (ground). There have been posts that discuss the issue in great detail and have a link to a site that has replacement ballasts for a reasonable cost.
