I just installed in my 87' a cluster from a 91'. Everything works great but the fuel gauge. It goes to full and stays there. I swapped back and my old one works just fine. New one in again and same results, going to full and staying there. Any suggestions? Thanks

Mario

If the original cluster in your '87 was ditigal and you tried to go to analog, then it won't work. There's a couple extra wires that run from a different fuel tank sender.
So unless you wanna go through all of that, :Bang stick with your digital and just buy another Mark that already has analog.

unfort. not that easy I have an LSC with the analog from the begin with, might be just a faulty cluster ...

Oh, sorry, I wasn't sure. Yeah, sounds like a bad fuel gauge. I think I have an extra cluster around here if you need it. Let me know.

I believe the anti-slosh module on the back might be the culprit, since that's the only thing on the cluster related to the fuel system. Should be a little white box on the back. See if you can swap it between the two.

thanks for the input, I will try that, Awesund, i might get back to you on that if I can't get it to work - thanks for the offer.

No problem. I can send you the fuel gauge if yours is broken.

Anti-slosh? wow, I noticed that this 91 I have has that problem...the needle moves around like a 70's GM fuel guage.. lol. I used to like that cause it was easier to tell if you still had enough to make it to the gas station.
But with the Lincoln, it doesn't seem to help much. It seems like it still sloshes on fumes... Whoops! I'll try that fix. Thanks! :Beer
