You know I have a thought...

All of these primarily Islamic countries like to say how they are interested in the well being of their muslim bretheren in Iraq however...

Where are the Saudi Armed Forces

Where are the Kuwaiti Armed Forces

Where are the Omani Armed Forces

Where are the Egyptian Armed Forces

Well, my guess would be that they see the writing on the wall that their regimes will be over someday...they know that a Free Iraq will echo throughout the land and cause freedom to ripple throughout their domain. They know this...and they'll be damned if they're gonna help it along. You see, this war isn't about religion or past wrongs...it's about power. The leaders of these countries know that as long as they can keep thier people ignorant of their natural born right to be free...they can keep their position.

Any thoughts?

I would agree that ignorance is a powerful tool.

LOL Barry my friend, you gift-wrapped that one for me, but I won't take advantage! :Beer

I totally agree with FreeFaller. Once freedom gets a foothold, it tends to spread like wildfire. But so does envy. I look for some of the neighboring countries to try assaulting Iraq after we're gone.

The internet is the most powerful tool right now. The bad guys use it to communicate. The young kids use it and they are the ones that are seeing the good that comes with freedom and are the ones moving towards democracy. It is the youth we need to concern ourselves with. The older people in the region don't have a great life span so we can wait them out. The media around the world need to become more conservative and spread the word that the West is not out to kill them, but to save them from the oppression and the slavery that Islam has wrought upon them. The young need to reject the calls for hatred. The young need to embrace a life-style where hard work will be rewarded. A life-style that only capitalism can create. Democratic capitalism is the only life-style that has been proven to work. Socialism, communism, liberalism and radicalism don't work. We don't need for them to go there.

And we need to protect Iraq and her interests at all costs. We've put our neck on the block with her. We should stand by her. To the extent that it doesn't interfere with Israel, at least.

I don't know fossten, now that it looks like the new Iraqi government is going to embrace Islam, you might want to be careful referring to Iraq as "her". :)

:I , and I'd add that until it is perfectly clear that the insurgents are going down, they'd stay out of this for fear of becoming another target for terrorists. And they sure aren't dumb enough to take the other side and resist the US.
