ok so im looking to buy a 97 town car they have it listed for 2900.00 i looked at it in the dark but im going to take a look at it tomorrow, is there some things to look for when buying a used one.. it has 92k on it let me know, i know not much about these cars im a marauder and LSC owner THANKS!

its a panther platform like your marauder so look for things that are the same
and like any other car make sure everything works and there is no rust for that price

As slowmkviii said just do the standard checklist when buying a car. I have owned 3 Town Cars, a '91, '96 and an '03 and never ever had any issues with them. I also owned a '97 Contiental and the only problem I had with it was with the air suspension. I would hear the compressor go often. So my only suggestion would be to check to make sure air suspension is ok.

Town Cars only have the air suspension in the back, and I think 97 would be in the range for the faulty intake which will need to be replaced.

Other then that the cars seem to run forever as long as you keep up on everything.
