Quick Question??

If you want to save some money you can just get a set of four (One on each rim) instead of all twenty..either way, noone will be taking your wheels when they see a locking nut(s).

I know this is an older thread, but I was looking at wheel nuts for my 00 gen1 v8 17" stock wheels since I have one that is just a regular looking nut (you know the threads sticking out the top) and what I found at autozone was the dorman 611-229.1 call out for the ls, and in the threads here folks talk about the 611-117.1 which is for a chrysler. The differences are, the top nipple is a bit broader on the 611-117.1 than the 611-229.1 and the overall length on the 611-117.1 is a tiny bit shorter, one is SS the other is chrome and one calls out flanged nut the other is Mag nut. BTW the SS are more expensive.

The photos show a knurling on the 117 with a longer distance between the washer and the wheel facing end.

Question is, does any body have thoughts on the difference between these two items from personal experience?

Locking lugs are incredibly easy to take off with out the key I had to do it to mine when I lost the key. Kind of a waste

On Gorilla locks web page in application page 11 gives the size as 12x1.50 for the LS all years.
