Hey if I get some flow masters what size piping is best for performance 2.25" or 3"?

Quick I have a 2000 LS8 From the Cats. What size pipe is it and what size do you suggest? If I opt to not get x pipe or h pipe, are there any downsides other than saving some bucks? I am sure it is louder but is the performance diminished, by not equalizing the pressure?

Don't go any bigger than 2.5" on the piping. With such a small V8 engine you would lose a lot of low end torque with piping too big.

I agree - 2.5" is the largest I would go. stock is 2.25"
