If so I need your help! My niece and I found a digital camera. The only traceable information on the camera was a picture of the family visiting the below relatives grave site.

It was the tombstone for a Delores A. Byrd dob: Oct 15, 1955, dod: Jan 4, 2006. I am pretty sure she passed away in Ohio, maybe Troy or Union Oh area... Her husband's name is Dalous L. Byrd Jr. dob: Mar 1955. No date of death for him, so as far as we know he is still alive (or may be recently deceased). It was a double tombstone and only the female had a dod. Yeah, odd first name, I was surprised I didn't turn anything up on any of our "research" sessions (as my niece calls them). And yes, I have searched obit's in every way I am aware of... no luck.

There were also pictures of a vacation spot in South Carolina where the owners of the camera had taken a picture of a sand writing on the beach " The Byrd family Jun 09", however I contacted the resort and there is no record of the family staying there in 2009. The reservation office said it is very possible they stayed with someone and it was under the other another name...I was afraind of that.

The camera has about 4 years of family photos and events (two sd chips were with it also). We would love to find the owners and return the camera to them. Any help or tips would be appreciated!!! Just trying to teach my niece the fun of doing something that the normal Jane wouldn't do.

We have spent hours on the computer, if anyone knows a better way to find an address for the living husband Delous Byrd - please fill me in (oh yeah, short of paying a real detective or money to a website for info). I was hoping some public information would help us locate family members names, like a son or daughter of the deceased mother.

Feel free to forward this to anyone who you think could help!

Thanks in advance!!!!

Debi

Mission accomplished!!! Camera returned and they were so thankful!!! Gave you the credit. Best of all my niece was so excited to get it back to the rightful owners!

Thank you again Brent!!!
Smooches!

No credit necessary, you could have just kept it like Danny kept that trunk lock cover haha

Oh I couldn't do that...there were over 500 pics on one sd card and 100's on the other too...seemed like they had a 4 yr old and between both discs it was the kids whole life, from preg. mom, to birth at the hospital (thank heavens it wasn't too graphic!), all four years of holidays and birthdays... sis and I had to find the owner... it was like they never download their pics.

Well yesterday I received a call from the mother (the father in law picked up the camera) - she was elated!!!! She said that when she found out her husband lost it she cried for days knowing all those pics were on the cards, she searched for days for it and cried every time she thought about all the pictures that were lost. She said she even called the police department to see if anyone turned it in! (I never thought about turning it into the police dept., who knew if they even lived here...)

Well she was just so thankful...she was beside herself - so thank you so much for helping my niece and I locate them ;)

SMOOCHES!
