As for the hood scoop, at this point it is non-functional. It's only purpose is hood clearance for the super charger.

That LS was done by Lincoln engineers, and even they had trouble making everything work (and I think I read that not everything does work). That's a 4.6L V8 in there, not the LS's AJ, and it's a completely one-off race car, not a daily driver. IIRC, they used two PCMs, an EEC-V (I think) to control the engine, and the LS's computers to control everything else.Fla02LS said:Now thats a serious LS. It looks like it kept an almost factory look. The other LS race cars are just gutted shells with a new engine and tranny. This LS looks like the real deal. This post is two years old, why is there still so much hub-bub about redoing an LS. Putting an engine like that is the way to go, not all the sillyness that is discussed mostly here. I would love to know the cost of that swap. I was quoted a starting cost of around 3k running up to around 10k to slap a turbo on my LS. Thats a little crazy for a setup that probably wont be too stable in the long run. But 10k for that engine in an LS would be a steal if it was reliable.
