Every night on the way home from the store i hope for a descent race. Well getting off the highway had some old dude in a z71 with duels on it, had a real deep mean tone so i thought. Come to find out it was a newer durango (hemi) with the deep, loud exhaust behind him, not sure what kind of exhaust but had a real nice stainless tip on it. He seen the cobra badges on the car and proceded to tap the gas a little. We cruised thru town not catching any lights. last light before town he's turning left, light turns yellow, he thinks about it and lines up on the red. Seen the cross lights turn yellow so I hit the brake and reved to 2200 hoping for a good launch, the only way I'm gonna get him off the line, I'll be damned is as soon as I did it i seen his squat to, i knew i was gonna be playing catch up off the line. Damn thing hooks pretty good off the light, lots of torque (limited slip or awd) no wheel spin at all. even had the body twist going on. He had me by a lenght off the light (stupid 32v) but i had my bumper up to his rear by 50. We both let off around 50mph, I like to get stupid, but not that stupid, evidently he was pretty level headed also. Conti did petty good, tires squealed all the way to 50 :) I kick my own ass every now and then for selling my 100 shot when stuff like this comes up. Not that it would have mattered because it wouldn't kick in till second gear (50). I honked, he honked, thru him a wave and proceded on home with a smile on my face, that made my day. Good to see all that money I put under the hood of that 7 year old conti still pays off every now and then. Just wish we could have done that from a 25-30 roll I would have looked a whole lot cooler. But even getting beat still makes me smile.

Intake and heads are done, cat (all 3) resonator, and air silencer delete. Flow 40 series, MAF mod, also 6" pipe into the side wall off the air filter box, shift kit. Conti is a monster from 25-50, lol. Just got to keep everyone in the zone. All that left to do when I start making money again is true duals on the exhaust, headers made by diamond, tune by lidio, throw the bigger injectors in, new fuel pump, then i want another zex 100 shot with the window switch again. I doubt any of that other stuff will happen. Dream setup is a KB with the hood cut out around it. It's always good to have dreams.

Gas mileage is awesome, it rides good, nothing seems to break on it, I can't complain about her. 110k on her all i've replaced is a idler pulley, brakes, coils and plugs, cabin filter, and a pair of k&n's i rotate. Change the oil every 3k and tranny fluid every 30k, had to fix my heated seat twice, which was my fault, used to stiff of wire on the first repair.
