First time poster been looking for info everywhere I possible can.
My after market radio has stopped powering on out of no where.
Replacing fuses didn't help, I have two radio fuses #2 and #18 according to Lincoln LS (2000 – 2006) – fuse box diagram | Auto Genius
When checking them with a meter the #2 doesn't have any power, and #18 blows every time I check it.
Any sort of tips or things I may be over looking?

Well then, there's your problem. You have a short somewhere on that circuit. You will have to find it and correct it. It's as simple as that.

Little more Diagnosis help.

Take the fuses out, disconnect the radio, and put the meter on the battery side (hot) should be the left. Your meter should show juice on both. Once that is confirmed, you can the CAREFULLY test the other side of the fuse terminal with continuity tester. If it beeps there is a short in the wiring. If not put the radio back in and try that test again. Beeping then is short in the radio itself.

Hmmm I'm pretty new to a lot of the electrical stuff would I have to trace the wiring from where the stereo was back. So probably like removing the dash ect. Would that go to the fuse box on the passenger kicker or somewhere else?

Well, if I knew what year your LS was, I could probably look it up for you tonight.
(If 2nd gen, also need to know if it was originally THX nav or not.)

2003 lincoln ls v6 sorry forgot the important stuff. And it wasn't a nav console just a double decker cd player ect.

Well, unfortunately, the 2003 adds a complication. Some of the wiring changed during the 2003 model year.

Hopefully, this is what you have.
F2.18 is a 20A fuse that is powered at all times. It powers only the radio and the center channel amplifier (if you have center console speakers). I am going to bet that the problem is at the radio where the aftermarket wiring was done. The factory wire that you are looking for is orange with a black stripe. It splices near the radio to an orange with yellow stripe wire that goes on to center channel amplifier. The center channel amp is more or less under the steering wheel.

That seems to be what I have I atleast remember the black and orange wire. But I'm not getting power to the end of that wire. So I should just follow that one back? Also I do not have center speakers. My brother was suggesting it might also be easier to do a jumper wire or splice it in somewhere so that is something we're going to look at as well.

I don't understand? You said that fuse #18 blows as soon as you replace it. If so, then of course you won't have any power on the orange/black wire. That's how it works. You need to find where that circuit is shorted to ground. I'd start by disconnected the aftermarket radio and inspecting the wiring there. Then replace the fuse and see if it doesn't blow. If it doesn't blow, then you will now have power on the orange/black wire.

Yeah sorry I'm bad at explaining situations some times. I got it resolved my multimeter was bad apparently so when I was testing fuses it would blow them. Just happened to be a THIRD radio fuse that controls the power when you turn the key. (it was blown replaced that good to go)
