Well I was on my way home for lunch just a few minutes ago and there was road work on one of my normal routes so I took a side road to pop onto the HWY and surpass waiting in the humid, warm air.
Got behind a newer Prelude, I'd say a '99 model or so, black and it looked pretty nice. I like Prelude, especially the 2nd gen model or whatever the '95's and such fall under. So anyway they had exhaust and it was a stick shift by the sounds of them reving it up high and all.
We pull up to the light to get onto the HWY and they are in the go straight or turn left lane and I am in the turn left only lane. I had my music up a bit and that got their attention and the driver kept looking over at my car so I glanced over and did the hello node.
So the light goes green and keep in mind I am on my way home for lunch so I am trying to get home rather quick w/out braking the law  . So I am on it and they turn aswell and come up behind and downshift and fly up beside w/ a smile and a decent exhaust note so I oblige(sp) and get on it to let 'em know I'm willing to take my luxo for a nice run.
Lucky for us the light ahead went yellow and we both would be on the front line so I was like "this is good." They roll up and node at me and yell if I had anything done. I told 'em just an intake system and ask what he had and he said full exhaust and intake, lowered(duh) and "sticky" tires so I say alright. I figured I would have some problems considering these preludes do put down decent HP and low torque which in some cases is good so I figured I'd have him off the line and after he hit second he would catch.
Well light goes green and I hit the gas and the 3.9L comes to life almost saying "''bout darn time" and I have already put him to the rear, the car went to 2nd I hit the shifter to d4 and the prelude shifted and started to gain and my LS went to 3rd and I kept him back until about 5000 rpm in 4th when I managed to hear a horn and saw his hazards on indicating he was done.
So I was pleased and thanks to him I saved some time getting home I figured he'd do better than just hanging onto my rear bumper but maybe its the driver.
