I searched and trouble shot some of the symptoms that people have said this could be. Certain times my car will just keep on cranking but not starting till probally 10 seconds later. It happened 3 times.. the 1st time it started in about 10 seconds... the second was about 5 seconds... and the 3rd I stepped on the gas after about 3-4 seconds to get it to start. but its never when the cars been sitting all night... it happens during the day.

Anyways I saw posts where this could be a leaky fuel injector... wrong.. none of mine are leaking. I have a fuel filter thats about 10k miles old.. I have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator thats maybe got 30k miles on it.

What can this be??

It could be several things. If the cam or crank sensors are starting to go, then the computer isn't getting the correct signals of position and it will only get worse with time. Your key could possibly also be going bad. If you have another key, try it next time it happens.

I figured maybe the cam or crank but I wasn't sure. I will change both to new 1's.. I have newer spares in my shed. probally if I have time monday Thanks

Like mentioned, crank or cam sensors. Could even be a fuel pump on the way out. Put a pressure gauge on the schrader valve and see what's going on.

Good luck.
